Wow. I suck at blogging.

OK. It's been over a year since my last post. It's pretty ridiculous. I am making a pledge to attempt to write one post per day, to keep family and friends up to date with all things Thomperman. Mostly it's for Mike, so he can feel like he is here at home with us this school year.

So what has happened in the past year? The boys sat up, they crawled, they grew teeth, they started sleeping through the night, they walked, they fell, the turned 1. Everybody caught up? Here is their birthday picture, which was taken 2 months ago today. We had a nice time with all grandparents, aunts and uncles.

And we're off!

Amazing!

So the boys are just at the point where they are smiling when they are awake and in response to us. The other morning, I went to get Nathan out of his crib and when he made eye contact with me, he broke out into a huge smile. It was awesome!

When Auntie Kelly came over to meet the boys, Nathan broke out the smiles again. Mike yelled, "Why aren't you getting this on camera?!?!?" Good question. Forgive the change in orientation mid-way through.

Kelly's Wedding

So this weekend was a first for the Thomperman boys... They stayed with my parents so that Mike and I could go to Kelly's wedding. We did have to rush home for a quick feeding because apparently they cried for 3 hours straight while we were gone. But it was great to see Kelly and Trevor, who live in Ireland. Her Irish guests were so friendly! One of them, when she heard I missed dinner to run home to the boys, started feeding me cake off her plate- with her own spoon! Who does that? The wedding was beautiful, and Kelly looked gorgeous! It was fun to hang with Tom, Beth, Liz, and Jeff as well.

Special bonus of the evening was seeing the singer of the band. Way back in the day, when we were still in high school, we used to go to the Bean Counter on Highland Avenue because there is nothing to do in Worcester. So for a while, there was a band called, "A Grain of Salt" that used to play there. Actually, it was two dudes with an acoustic guitar and a mandolin. Anyway, they handed out plastic egg shakers to the audience and played lots of Beatles and Dead. Eventually, we used to make seeing them an event- we stalked them, basically. Sometimes we even brought our own eggs! Anyway, the singer was one of those guys. What a small world!

Bath Time, Part Deux

Bathing twins takes some choreography and we're still trying to perfect our moves. With that said, I think today's double dipping was quite a success! Steven peed quite spectacularly on Becky, but I was too slow with the camera to record that glorious moment. (He got me 15 minutes later on the changing table, which wiped the smile off my face). We're finding that Steven really likes bath time. Nathan, not so much.

The best part about bathtime is their personalized bath towels... thanks to Aunties Melissa, Marnie and Valerie!

Two Weeks Old!

We tried to take a cute picture of the boys when they turned two weeks...
